President El-Sisi Strengthens Bilateral Cooperation and Regional Collaboration at EU-Egypt Summit

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation and advancing regional collaboration during a dinner banquet with European leaders, held alongside the first-ever EU-Egypt Summit. The event, hosted by Mr. António Costa, President of the European Council, brought together top European officials including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation for a Prosperous Future

In his remarks, President El-Sisi emphasized the importance of enhancing ties between Egypt and the European Union, stressing that cooperation at both institutional and national levels is essential for stability and mutual prosperity. He called for continued engagement to build a framework that benefits the peoples of both regions and sets a foundation for future collaborations.

Enhancing Regional Collaboration and Strategic Partnerships

El-Sisi noted that the EU-Egypt partnership represents a model for effective regional collaboration, promoting peace and sustainable development across the Mediterranean. “This summit marks a true starting point for expanding coordination and partnership in all strategic areas,” he said, underlining Egypt’s vision of a unified, cooperative Mediterranean region.

The Egyptian President expressed gratitude to his European counterparts for their strong participation and shared vision, describing the gathering as an opportunity to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange perspectives on global issues of mutual concern.

A Vision for Future Collaborations

President El-Sisi highlighted that the summit’s success lies in translating discussions into tangible outcomes that strengthen the EU-Egypt Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He reiterated that Egypt’s engagement extends beyond EU institutions to include direct partnerships with individual member states — ensuring that economic growth, regional stability, and security are mutually reinforced through continued future collaborations.
