Eritrea Seminar Strengthens Efforts in Eritrea Historical Data Preservation

Government employees trained in documentation best practices

The Research and Documentation Center of the PFDJ hosted a seminar aimed at enhancing eritrea historical data preservation among employees of various government institutions. The event focused on reviewing both strengths and challenges faced in daily documentation activities.

Presentations highlight administration and conservation techniques

During the seminar, several research papers were presented, covering topics such as document management, conservation strategies, and issues related to the documentation process. Participants gained insights into effective information preservation techniques critical for long-term archival integrity.

Mr. Tesfay Keleta, head of research at the PFDJ central office, emphasized that the seminar aimed to conduct preliminary studies on documents recorded in multiple formats—photographs, audio, and written materials. He reminded staff engaged in documentation to maintain diligence and consistency in their daily activities.

Center’s initiatives safeguard Eritrea’s historical records

Ms. Azieb Tewolde, head of the Research and Documentation Center, briefed attendees on the center’s ongoing efforts to protect documents from damage. She also outlined challenges faced in maintaining archival quality while ensuring accessibility.

The seminar forms part of broader initiatives to promote documentation workshop Eritrea practices that strengthen institutional knowledge and preserve the country’s historical legacy.
