President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reviewed the latest updates from the Martyrs and Victims Honoring Fund during a meeting with Chairman Major General El-Sayed El-Ghaly and Executive Director Major General Ahmed Al-Ashaal. The session focused on community empowerment, new remembrance ceremonies, and expanding scholarship opportunities for the families of martyrs and victims of military and terror operations.
Supporting Families Through Education and Empowerment
The President directed the Ministry of Higher Education to offer tuition exemptions and reductions at all universities and private institutes for the children of martyrs and the injured. This move aims to promote equal access to scholarship opportunities and long-term community empowerment.
Launch of “Egypt Is With You” Initiative
El-Sisi approved the new “Egypt Is With You” initiative to support the minor children of martyrs and civilian victims. Starting January 1, 2026, funds will be invested by Misr Life Insurance Company, ensuring beneficiaries receive financial support upon reaching legal age.
National Coordination for Welfare and Health
The Fund continues to collaborate with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and several ministries—including Youth and Sports, Local Development, Religious Endowments, and Communications—to enhance community empowerment through welfare, health, and educational programs.
El-Sisi also ordered the Ministry of Health to provide free medical care for all civilian beneficiaries not covered by insurance.
Honoring Foreign Service Martyrs
In a symbolic act of national recognition, President El-Sisi included the martyrs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs—those who lost their lives while serving abroad—among the Fund’s beneficiaries.
