Algeria’s Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, met on Wednesday with his Tunisian counterpart, Mr. Mohamed Ali Nafti, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters.

The discussions marked another step toward strengthening diplomatic mission collaboration between Tunisia and Algeria, focusing on advancing cooperation and mutual development goals. Both ministers reaffirmed the special attention their respective leaders — President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and President Kais Saied — give to enhancing bilateral ties.

Advancing Joint Development Projects

The two foreign ministers reviewed the current status of multiple joint development projects that align with their shared vision for stronger economic and social integration. These projects are part of a long-term strategy for regional partnership and foreign policy alignment between the neighboring nations.

Mr. Nafti’s visit to Algiers comes ahead of the Tripartite Meeting of Neighboring Countries on Libya, reflecting the countries’ commitment to regional peace and cooperative diplomacy. The ministers also exchanged views on pressing regional matters impacting North Africa and reaffirmed their shared stance on key international issues.

Preparing for the 23rd Algeria-Tunisia Joint High Commission

Both sides emphasized the importance of preparing for the 23rd Algeria-Tunisia Joint High Commission, a crucial event aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation, expanding trade, and accelerating joint development projects that promote long-term stability and prosperity.

Their talks underscored how foreign policy alignment between Tunisia and Algeria continues to serve as a model of unity and partnership in the region.
