Senior executives from Actis, Trade Development Bank (TDB) and Performances Group will participate in MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2025, reinforcing the conference’s role as a leading forum for investment, project development and partnerships in West Africa. Their presence signals rising capital interest in sustainable energy investments africa and expanding support for renewable energy projects that strengthen the region’s long-term infrastructure.

Speakers include Sadio Wade, Vice President of Energy Infrastructure at Actis; Antoine John Esther, COO-West and Central Africa at TDB; and Aïda Mbaye, Senior Manager at Performances Group. Their attendance is expected to unlock new business opportunities and attract further green infrastructure financing in the MSGBC region.

Growing Energy Markets Attract Global Stakeholders

Set to take place in Dakar from December 8-10, MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2025 will spotlight major ongoing developments across oil, gas and renewable energy projects in West Africa. The event will connect global finance with national priorities, enabling investors, policymakers and private sector leaders to strengthen cooperation on sustainable developments.

Key players in banking services africa and infrastructure financing are expected to attend, reflecting renewed investor confidence in the region’s evolving energy sector.

TDB Expands Financing for Sustainable and Regional Projects

TDB has recently accelerated efforts to boost financing in Africa’s frontier markets. In partnership with the Angola Sovereign Wealth Fund, the bank launched the Angola Export and Trade Development Facility in October to mobilize capital for logistics, agro-industry and regional integration.

Operating in eastern and southern Africa, TDB provides trade finance, infrastructure lending, asset management and advisory solutions that support sustainable economic growth. In April 2024, the bank signed an MoU in Senegal aimed at fostering collaboration and development in energy, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture and food security, reinforcing its leadership in banking services africa.

Performances Group Strengthens Regional Project Capacity

Performances Group continues to support energy and infrastructure development with strategic and operational services designed to improve investment efficiency across the MSGBC region. The company works closely with stakeholders to optimize management, enhance project performance and support industrial development in complex markets. Their participation reflects growing interest in effective frameworks supporting sustainable energy investments africa.

Actis Advances Renewable Energy Projects in West Africa

Actis has played a significant role in expanding renewable energy projects in the region. Through former portfolio company Lekela Power, Actis developed the 159 MW Taiba N’Diaye wind farm in Senegal, which reached full commercial operation in 2021, now providing electricity to more than two million people.

Actis exited Lekela in March 2023, transferring ownership to Infinity Power, but continues focusing on green infrastructure financing and long-term sustainable development in West Africa.

“Actis, TDB and Performances Group continue to demonstrate leadership in advancing energy and infrastructure development across the MSGBC region and we are pleased to welcome Sadio Wade, Antoine John Esther and Aïda Mbaye to this year’s program,” said Sandra Jeque, Events and Project Director, Energy Capital & Power.
