Foresters Clinch Historic Tenth Presidents Cup with Dominant 3-0 Victory
The Seychelles football community gathered in full force at Stad Linite today to witness a thrilling Presidents Cup Final, where the Mont Fleuri-based Foresters emphatically defeated Pointe Larue’s PTL Bazar Brothers 3–0.
The highly anticipated 90-minute clash delivered an action-packed spectacle for the fans. Both teams demonstrated aggressive tactical play, creating multiple scoring opportunities throughout the match. While the Bazar Brothers frequently tested the Foresters’ defense and narrowly missed taking the lead on several occasions, it was ultimately the Mont Fleuri squad that capitalized on their chances.
The deadlock was broken by a stunning strike from Brandon Labrosse, giving Foresters the crucial opening advantage. Riding on this momentum, teammate Imra successfully found the back of the net to double the lead, leaving the Pointe Larue defense scrambling. The decisive blow came shortly after when Labrosse struck again, securing his second goal of the match and sealing a flawless 3-0 victory for his side.
This triumph is a monumental milestone for Foresters, officially marking their tenth time lifting the Presidents Cup and cementing their legacy within the national sports landscape. Recognizing their hard-fought effort throughout the tournament, PTL Bazar Brothers were graciously awarded their runners-up medals following the final whistle.
The prestigious trophy was officially handed over to the jubilant Foresters captain by President Dr Patrick Herminie, who attended the match in his capacity as the Patron of the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF).
