ALAMEIN — The Government of Egypt, in partnership with the African Union Commission, has officially announced new dates for the inaugural Alamein Africa Forum. The event, which serves as a major platform for advancing the continent’s private sector agenda, will now take place from October 2–4, 2026.
Originally scheduled for June 2026, the forum was postponed due to public health concerns at the time. The organizers confirmed that the new dates were finalized after extensive consultations with key stakeholders. To maximize high-level participation, the forum will be held in parallel with the African Union Mid-Year Summit, which is set to convene in Alamein on October 4, 2026.
The Alamein Africa Forum is designed as a permanent, biennial event meant to bridge the gap between policy and industry. By bringing together African Heads of State, government officials, financial leaders, and institutional investors, the platform aims to foster tangible growth within the private sector.
“The forum presents a unique opportunity to engage key policy makers and senior leaders from industry to advance Africa’s private sector agenda,” organizers noted in a press release.
Attendees and partners can expect updated information regarding accommodation, logistics, and the full event program to be released on the official forum website as early as next week.
As the continent looks to sharpen its economic focus, this gathering is positioned to play a vital role in coordinating cross-border investment and industrial strategy for the years ahead.
