H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Government and people of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on their Independence Day. The message celebrated the nation’s resilience, progress, and unwavering contribution to the spirit of Pan-Africanism.

As the country marks this historic day, the African Union reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening cooperation with Equatorial Guinea — advancing regional unity, sustainable development, and shared African values rooted in solidarity and peace.

Celebrating Pan-Africanism and National Progress

The Republic of Equatorial Guinea Pan-Africanism ideals remain a guiding light in the continent’s collective journey toward self-reliance and integration. The Deputy Chairperson highlighted that the nation’s dedication to African unity continues to inspire other member states in achieving inclusive growth and socio-economic transformation.

“Equatorial Guinea stands as a symbol of African determination,” he said, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and mutual respect among nations. This shared vision underlines the deep connection between the independence movement in Equatorial Guinea and the broader Pan-African cause that seeks to empower future generations across the continent.

Independence: A Milestone of Strength and Vision

The independence movement in Equatorial Guinea represents more than a historical milestone — it embodies the courage, vision, and sacrifice of its people. The Deputy Chairperson praised the nation’s achievements in governance, infrastructure, and social progress since its independence, noting that these advancements reflect the essence of Republic of Equatorial Guinea Pan-Africanism.

Equatorial Guinea’s development journey continues to serve as a model for unity and perseverance, echoing the African Union’s goals under Agenda 2063 — “The Africa We Want.”

Strengthening Partnerships for the Future

The Deputy Chairperson reiterated the African Union’s strong partnership with Equatorial Guinea in promoting peace, stability, and sustainable growth. Collaborative efforts will focus on education, youth empowerment, and regional trade — ensuring that the values of Republic of Equatorial Guinea Pan-Africanism translate into tangible progress for all Africans.

On this day of national pride, the African Union Commission salutes the courage and resilience of the Equatorial Guinean people and looks forward to deepening cooperation for a more unified and prosperous Africa.
