Exploring Singapore’s Innovation and Governance

From 9 to 11 November 2025, Singapore hosted 14 MBA students and three faculty leaders from Wits Business School, University of the Witwatersrand, in a programme designed to enhance cross-cultural learning experiences and practical business knowledge. Led by Prof. Emmanuel Quay, the delegation explored Singapore’s transformation into a global economic hub, with a focus on innovation, policy-making, and sustainable development.

Engaging with South African and Singaporean Institutions

The first day included a welcome by South African High Commissioner to Singapore, H.E. Delegates also met members of the South African Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, gaining insights into the business environment, sustainability initiatives, and innovation opportunities.

Throughout the visit, students explored topics such as digital transformation, entrepreneurship, ESG adoption, and the future of work—critical areas that can strengthen their careers and expand their mba job prospects in south africa.

Building International Connections for Career Growth

The Singapore immersion not only offered cross-cultural learning experiences but also strengthened people-to-people links between South Africa and Singapore. Exposure to Asia’s fast-growing markets provides students with a global perspective, enhancing their competitiveness for MBA jobs in South Africa and supporting leadership development in diverse sectors.

The programme reinforces the importance of international collaborations in shaping business acumen and strategic thinking, equipping future leaders with the tools to succeed in South Africa’s dynamic economic landscape.
