A Final for the Ages

After an intense month of play featuring 30 matches, India and South Africa will battle for their first-ever Women’s World Cup title. Hosts India stormed into the final with a stunning five-wicket victory over Australia, while South Africa powered past England to reach their maiden championship game.

The Venue: Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium

The grand finale will unfold at the iconic venue of the Navi Mumbai Women’s Cricket Championship, the 45,300-seater DY Patil Stadium. India remain unbeaten here, having previously defeated New Zealand and Australia. This marks South Africa’s first appearance at the stadium.

Weather Watch

Navi Mumbai’s weather forecast suggests sunny spells with a chance of brief showers—typical coastal drama that could impact the game.

India: Jemimah Rodrigues will be crucial after her unbeaten 127 in the semifinal, supported by captain Harmanpreet Kaur and opener Smriti Mandhana. Deepti Sharma leads India’s bowling attack with 17 wickets.

South Africa: Captain Laura Wolvaardt, the tournament’s top scorer with 470 runs, will aim to replicate her epic 169 against England. All-rounder Marizanne Kapp’s 5-20 spell has also been pivotal for South Africa’s success.
